Origin

I am not completely sure about the origin of the trumpet but on numerous sites it has been said that two early trumpets were found in King TutAnkhamens tomb in Egypt 1339 B.C.E. According to the bible Moses made two trumpets of silver.

Trumpets used to be end-blown objects such as animal horns, bones, or bamboo. Tribes would use what the could from what they hunted. Obviously they wouldnt be exactly like trumpets because there wasnt valves but they were horns.

Records show that trumpets were used in religous services as early as 2000 C.B.E. The modern folded trumpet was created around 1400 C.E. And they have only modernized to todays trumpets.

  2. Wow, I had no idea about this. I guess it makes sense that they would use animal horns. They were the right shape, hollow. I wonder how they made it make different notes. Or maybe they didn't. Just one note.
